Day 1: A Fresh Start – Writing Through the Chaos

Welcome to the first day of 2025! ๐ŸŽ‰

The start of a new year feels like cracking open a brand-new notebook—full of possibilities, ready for ideas to pour out. But life doesn’t always stick to the plan. By February, that pristine notebook will probably have coffee stains, scribbled-out ideas, and a few bent corners. That’s what makes it real.

2024 was a whirlwind of lessons and creativity. Between the projects on A Moment with Mystee and collaborations at Trilogy Ink, there were plenty of moments where life and writing collided in unexpected ways. That’s the beauty of being a writer—it’s messy, but it’s always worth it.

What’s Ahead for 2025

This year brings new challenges and exciting plans. A sneak peek of what’s on the horizon:

  • Stories in Progress: A mix of paranormal mystery and suspense that’s finally ready to come to life.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Extras: Deleted scenes, character tidbits, and glimpses into the creative process.
  • Collaborative Magic: Big plans with the Trilogy Ink team that promise surprises and connection.

The Why Behind the Words

Writing is about more than just putting stories on a page—it’s about connection. It’s about capturing the little details of life, the chaos and beauty, and sharing them in a way that resonates. Every comment, every bit of feedback, every shared moment keeps that connection alive.

What are you most looking forward to in 2025? Whether it’s a creative project or something completely unexpected, this fresh start is a chance to dive in with everything you’ve got.

Why We Write

Writing, for me, is more than just stories. It’s about connection—sharing pieces of ourselves and finding common threads in unexpected places. Whether it’s a blog post like this, a snippet from a book, or a heartfelt comment from one of you, every word matters.

So, as we start this new year, I want to hear from you:

  • What are you most looking forward to in 2025?
  • Have you set any creative goals?
Drop your thoughts in the comments below—I’d love to cheer you on!

Join the Journey

As always, I’ll be sharing updates both here on Trilogy Ink and over on A Moment with Mystee. If you’re not following me there yet, now’s the perfect time to dive in. Let’s make this year a memorable one together.

Here’s to a fresh start, messy notebooks, and a year full of stories waiting to be told. Cheers to you, readers—thank you for being part of this journey.

    Uh, I don't know..?
My 2025 notebook is still brand-new and full of empty pages , and while I have plans for the rest of this week, like visiting my SIL and attending a hockey game, I don't have set expectations. If I had to commit to a creative goal I'd just say the following:
Keep making videos of my son's hockey games
    Participate in 3/4 UBCs.
    How's that?

    1. That's amazing. I keep mine broad so I don't "fail" and have more to stress out about.

  2. Happy New Year and I'm excited to read more about your happenings! I know what you mean about started out clean notebook but doesn't take long for the scribbles to show up. As for 2025, my years will never be the same since my husband passed away last Easter after being together for 59 years. I'm trying to keep things halfway normal but sometimes that doesn't work, like a messy notebook.

    1. I am so sorry for your loss. That's so difficult (I watched my grandpa when my grandma passed after 65 years of marriage - it was heartbreaking)
